What is MegaCD?
MegaCD is an indexed collection of classic timeless treasure of Application Notes from different semiconductor vendors who share the vision of people not only using their parts but also at the same time learn a great deal of things around their products. Application notes typically teach the end user on how to use their products. Historically application notes have taught the users the domain knowledge pertaining to the industry as well apart from just on ‘How to’ use their products.

What are the topics covered in MegaCD?
MegaCD focusses on the basics. You can find tons of application material that covers from very basic FETs to the full blown communication technology.
Is MegaCD available as a CD-ROM?
Yes. It is available as a CD-ROM which can be mounted on to your server or copied to a shared drive. The CD-ROM version has the pre-built acrobat index. When MegaCD is loaded the index is also loaded along with and the user can search the entire collection of the application notes word by word. This feature is quite powerful. When will iOS edition have the drill down search facility similar to the CD ROM edition?
It will be available in the Q1/Q2-2012. The early adopters will pay $9.99. With the powerful drill down search facility MegaCD would cost 14.99. It is a bargain for lifelong update with the Apple’s AppStore pricing model.
Will more application notes be added to this collection?
Yes - if and only if more vendors are willing to participate in this project. Focus will be more to the fundamental application Notes. I would be devoting considerable time to add more and more features to the iOS edition.

Anyone practicing electronics will find it very useful. Students, engineers and hobbyists would love it based on the feedback received.
Why can’t I find all these application notes on the internet?
Yes you could find them - however it would not be nicely organized. Furthermore there is no index or word by word search except some vendors provide only for their application notes.
